Salt Key Bank is a small fishermen village, where you will learn how to plunder ships and how to purchase upgrades for Jackdaw.
Unlike other locations in AC 4, Salt Key Bank also includes a hidden tavern you can unlock to get additional Intel on convoys. You won’t spend too much time in Salt Key Bank, but it is important to get all collectibles, and to complete all activities the first time you arrive.

Animus Fragment 1
The first Animus Fragment in Salt Key Bank is on the western side of the harbor, close to the beach and to a chest.
It is easy to collect because it is located above a ledge on which you can jump while standing on the bridge nearby. While facing the collectible jump once to get it, then jump again to return to the bridge.
Animus Fragment 2
The second Animus Fragment is located in the central area of the harbor, close to the general store. It is also an accessible collectible located on a roof. Simply climb the house’s wall to collect it.
Animus Fragment 3
The third Animus Fragment is on top of a wooden pillar. While standing near the previous fragment, look for a bridge that allows you to cross the large gap.
Next, use the crane on the other side, and the wooden box, to drop one level. Now, drop to the level below you and jump on the pillar to get the collectible.

Secret: Letter
The only secret you can collect in Salt Key Bank is a letter (“On The Playce Of My Birthe”).
The letter is marked on your map by a bottle and you can find it close to a chest in a cave.
To get inside you have to jump into the water, and then swim. The bottle is highlighted and it will draw your attention as soon as you enter the said cave.

Shanty: Fish In The Sea
In Salt Key Bank you can also unlock a new song for your crew. There is only one AC4 Shanty in this area and it contains the lyrics for the song named “Fish In The Sea”.
The page however will fly away when you get close; therefore you have to be fast. To get the collectible make sure you remain on the rooftops and follow it by crossing the catwalks without falling. Y
ou should be able to collect it at the end of the second catwalk.

Before leaving Salt Key Bank make sure you collect all chests in the area. Their locations will be displayed after you synchronize the viewpoint near the village.
