In Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Navassa is a medium area, uncovered by conquering the Naval Fort of the same name.
Navassa Naval Fort is a level 32 fortification, located in the right lower corner of your main map.
The fort is protected by 9 defenses that must be destroyed, which means that Navassa can’t be conquered earlier in the game, unless you purchase a series of upgrades for the Jackdaw.
When you approach Navassa, you have to be aware that you are in a restricted area; therefore, the moment you attack the fort, you will draw the attention of all nearby ships.
The fortification; however, is built on a small island, allowing you to patrol around it and constantly fire your weapons.
After you conquer the fort, you will unlock two new Naval Contracts (Contract 08: Blind Justice and Contract 15: A Personal Matter).
Additionally, by conquering Navassa you will be able to reveal the area around the fort and find the British Legendary Ship HMS Prince, along with a series of uncharted collectibles.

Chest 1
To get the first chest inside Navassa Naval Fort, you have to reach the highest level of the garrison. Look for it close to the north-western tower, at the end of a wooden platform.
Make sure you go around the corner to see it, and inside you will find 150 Reales and a chain made of gold.
Chest 2
After you loot the first chest, while maintaining your position on the wooden platform, turn around and you will see a large tower, located on the same level. The tower is close to a haystack, located on the ground.
The second chest is on top of the tower and it contains 144 Reales, a watch, and a tobacco box. To loot it, simply climb the tower, and then perform a Leap of Faith in the haystack below.

Animus Fragment 1
Animus Fragment #1 is located close to the second chest. Assuming you are near the haystack, jump over the small wall and head straight to the wooden crane on the lower level.
Climb the crane to get the fragment, and then return to the haystack to get the last fragment.
Animus Fragment 2
The second Animus Fragment in Navassa is very easy to retrieve because it is located on top of a catwalk that connects a building and the fort’s outer wall.
The catwalk is near the large tower and the haystack mentioned earlier. Ascend the left building using the ramp near the wall, and move on the catwalk to get the fragment.
