Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Great Inagua is the most important location in the video game developed by Ubisoft, because Great Inagua serves as a hideout for Edward and his pirates.
Great Inagua is a location unlocked by playing the main missions featured in the game. The island is controlled by Julien du Casse, but after his demise, Edward becomes the owner of the island, and all its facilities.
Taking control of the island is important because you will also be able to unlock the Templar Hunt series of missions, which will lead you to a unique outfit.
Unlike other major locations, Great Inagua includes a series of facilities that can be purchased and upgraded, such as the tavern and the harbor.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Great Inagua Animus Fragments Locations
Animus Fragment 1
The first Animus Fragment in Great Inagua is extremely easy to collect, being located close to Edward’s mansion.
You will find it near a table, and all you have to do is so walk over it.
Animus Fragment 2
The second fragment is also easy to collect, and it doesn’t require any special moves. It is located in the small Mayan village, in the middle of the island. Climb the wooden structure to get the collectible.
Animus Fragment 3
For the third Animus Fragment, you will have to explore the jungle. You will find it on top of a small rock, but you won’t be able to climb it.
Use the tree log nearby, and then jump towards the collectible.
Animus Fragment 4
After you get the third fragment, explore the western side of the island looking for the fourth. When you get close to it, you will notice that it is located on a wooden platform, above the ground.
To get on the platform, while facing the collectible, turn right and you will see two trees close to each other. Climb the trees then use the vines to jump on the tree log and then near the collectible.
Animus Fragment 5
The last fragment is located inside the ruins of a Mayan Temple located on the southern beach. To reach it you will have to climb the ladders and the walls nearby.

Shanty 1: Whiskey Johnny
To get the first shanty in Great Inagua, you should start chasing it from north to south,in order to avoid unnecessary jumps that will waste your time.
The shanty follows a route close to the ground if and you will be able to catch it after the first left turn.
Shanty 2: The Wild Goose
The second shanty is static, meaning that it won’t fly away when you get close to it. To reach its location, you should use the Mayan Stela pillar nearby and jump towards the collectible.
Jump from one branch to another until you are close enough to get it.

Secret 1: Letter
The first secret in Great Inagua is a letter (On My Name And Origin) which can be found inside a bottle on the southern beach.
When you get close to its location, look for several pirates digging for a treasure and get close to the water to spot the collectible.
Secret 2: Cadaver
The second secret is also the most important because it is a treasure map you can collect from a cadaver. The treasure map in Great Inagua is located inside a cave, close to the docks.
The cave can be accessed by climbing several trees and jumping from one branch to another. Walk around the perimeter and look for a downed tree that can be used as a ramp to get inside the cave.
Once you have found the treasure map, open it and notice that there are two coordinates (633,784), as well as an image showing a house.
The treasure map in Great Inagua and its coordinates point to Nassau, while the image shows the western viewpoint you have to synchronize. The viewpoint is close to the swampy area in Nassau.
When you get there, move towards the water and look for a tree similar to a ramp, which allows you to ascend one level, and get close to the house.
The digging spot is at the bottom of the downed tree. When you open the buried treasure chest in Nassau you will find 3000 Reales and the Grey Sails Design Plan.
