Despite its dimensions, the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Corozal Island is one of the most important secondary-locations featured in the video game, because there are multiple activities you can complete on the island, as well as a tavern, collectibles, and a treasure map.
Corozal is an island located in the south-western part of the map, and to reveal it you need to destroy the Chinchorro Naval Fort.
On the island you will find one viewpoint, and a Tavern that must be unlocked. You can hunt rabbits while visiting Corozal and you can also complete two Assassin Contracts.
Furthermore, on the island you can also find several collectibles, one of them being a treasure map.
Below is a text guide which explains how to get all collectibles during your visit on Corozal and how to find the buried chest revealed by the treasure map you retrieve from this island.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Corozal Secrets Locations
Secret 1: Letter
The first secret is a letter (“Finding Steadey Work”), which can be found inside a bottle.
The bottle is located south from the tavern, on the beach, very close to a haystack.
Secret 2: Manuscript – Cronicas dos Feitos de Guine
The second secret is the “Cronicas dos Feitos de Guine” manuscript, hidden within a chest in the southern part of Corozal.
The chest is protected by two enemy pirates, but the bushes near their camp offer good cover, thus allowing you to assassinate both of them.
Secret 3: Cadaver
The final secret is also the most important because it is the Corozal Treasure Map that reveals another buried chest. The treasure map is on the cadaver you can locate on the eastern island, next to a campfire. After you get the treasure map, open it and you will see two coordinates: 55,178, as well as a drawing depicting a cave between two ruins. The coordinates point to a shipwreck named Ambergris Key, located south of Corozal in the lower left corner of your map.
If you didn’t discover the area yet, you should know that Ambergris Key features a hidden cave, where the buried chest is located, as well as some Mayan ruins.
To reach the ruins you will have to swim, following the northern underwater tunnel. As soon as you exit the tunnel you will see the ruins to your right, while the cave depicted on the map is on the left side. Inside the chest you will find 4000 Reales.
