Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Cayman Sound Chests Locations

Chest 1

In Cayman Sound, the first chest marked on the map above is also the trickiest. Its location is on a small platform attached to one of the large rocks you will find on the western side of the island. T

o get to the platform, walk around the stones and look for three trees. One of them was downed by the storms, the second one is only a trunk, and the third one is close to the platform, and it is also the tallest. Jump on the downed tree to reach the trunk, and from there jump on the large three.

Next, jump towards the platform and loot the chest for 185 Reales, a sapphire (130 R) and a porcelain tray (15 R). After you loot the chest, don’t jump down. Instead, collect the second Animus Fragment.

Chest 2 T

he second chest which contains 138 Reales and a Sapphire is located near the rowboat on Cayman Sound. Look for it near the water.

Chest 3

The final chest is also easy to locate and inside it you will find a bone pipe (15 Reales), a gold chain (130 R) and 183 Reales.

The third chest is close to the second secret (cadaver), located on the north-eastern beach.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Cayman Sound Animus Fragments Locations

Animus Fragment 1

In Cayman Sound, the first Animus Fragment requires a Leap of Faith.

Approach its location, and while standing under the collectible, look around to see a large tree (not a palm tree).

Several steps away you will see another downed tree (near the beach), and its trunk can be used as a ramp to get on the highest branch of the tree, located near the fragment. Next, jump into the haystack below to get the collectible while falling.

Animus Fragment 2

The second Animus Fragment should be collected after the first chest, because it requires your presence on the large rocks in the western side of the island.

After you loot the first chest, move several steps away from it while remaining on the said rocks. Head towards the collectible and perform another Leap of Faith to get the collectable.

Animus Fragment 3

The final Animus Fragment is the most accessible, because it can be found on top of the viewpoint in Cayman Sound.

No matter when you decide to travel to the island, you will have to synchronize the viewpoint on the eastern beach. Climb the mast and when you reach its top you will get the collectible.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Cayman Sound Secrets Locations

Secret 1: Letter

The first Cayman Sound Secret is a letter (The Assassyn), which can be retrieved by collecting the bottle on the southern beach.

The bottle is on the ground, close to the water. To find it faster look for some crabs on the same beach.

Secret 2: Cadaver

The treasure map in Cayman Sound is the most important collectible you must find, because it will lead you to a buried chest which contains 3000 Reales and the Elite Heavy Shot – Storage Upgrade Plan.

The Cayman Sound Treasure Map is located in the north-eastern side of the island, close to the third chest. After you get it, you will see two new coordinates: 901, 263, as well as a drawing depicting a ship and three bridges.

The coordinates point to Petite Caverne, and when you get inside, you will be able to spot the smugglers’ ship (the one in the drawing).

After you clear the den go to the southernmost area and look for a campfire and several stalagmites and stalactites that connect near one of the wooden bridges.

You should also see two bridges built over a gap. Now, go behind the large stalactites and stalagmites and you will find the spot where the buried treasure is hidden.
