Cat Island is one of the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag secondary locations featuring a warehouse you can plunder for additional goods and money; however, besides the warehouse, Cat Island also includes 8 collectibles you should find, and a Mayan Stela Puzzle.
The area known as Cat Island is almost entirely occupied by British soldiers; therefore, you should kill as many as you can before exploring the island.
On Cat Island you can find two Animus Fragments, five chests and a shanty that includes the lyrics for the Rio Grande pirate song.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Cat Island Chests Locations
Chest 1
The first chest marked on the map above is located in the backyard of the villa on Cat Island.
Look for the collectible near one of the cannons, and loot the chest to receive 180 Reales, a pearl (70 R), and a compass made of gold (75 R).
Chest 2
North from the first chest, and inside a shed you will spot on the plantation near the large mansion, is the second chest. It contains 271 Reales and 2 berserk darts.
Chest 3 & 4
The next two chests are located near the warehouse. When you get close to the building go around it looking for a ramp.
On the left side of the ramp is the third chest and if you go around the corner you will find the alarm bell and a hiding spot. Next to the hiding spot is the fourth chest. Loot it, then use the ramp to get on top of the warehouse and retrieve the first fragment.
Chest 5
The final chest is located inside a building below the viewpoint on Cat Island. When you loot it you will receive 2 berserk darts and 296 Reales.

Animus Fragment 1
For the first Animus Fragment on Cat Island you have to reach the roof of the warehouse, and look for the chimney.
Near it you should see a ledge. While standing on the ledge (not on top of the chimney) jump towards the collectable.
Animus Fragment 2
For the second Animus Fragment you have to clear the center of the island. When all enemies have been killed, look for the collectible in a tree. To reach it, access the roof of the shack nearby and then climb on the highest branch.

On Cat Island you can also find one of the song sheets that will help you teach your crew a new song (The Rio Grande).
The shanty can be found in the south part of the map, floating in a tree. Near the tree you will see several rocks you can use when you start chasing the shanty.
You should be able to get it before it reaches the second tree.
