Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Arroyos is an important secondary location featured in the video game, and it must be visited as soon as possible, being located south of Cape Bonavista.
A small island, inhabited by fishermen, Arroyos includes 8 AC4 collectibles.
Three of them are Animus Fragments, and five are chests. Even if it is a secondary location, on Arroyos you will have to find one of the AC4 hidden taverns, and you will also have the chance to trigger two Assassin Contracts.
The tavern in Arroyos is located in the south-eastern side of the island, as shown on the map above, and the Assassin Contracts you can start in Arroyos are Contract 15: Tomb Raiders and Contract 16: A Last Drink For The Road.
Once you unlock the tavern in Arroyos and finish the said contracts, make sure that you don’t leave the area without the collectables revealed by the guide below.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Arroyos Chests Locations
Chest 1
The first chest on Arroyos Island is located north from the Tavern, on the pier. Look for some sacks, and behind them you will find the collectable.
Loot the chest to get 187 Reales and a jade statue (120 Reales).
Chest 2
After you get the second chest, turn around and you will see a small island in the distance. Swim to it and you will locate the second chest which holds 260 Reales.
Chest 3
Once you have looted the second chest, return to the main island and look for the third one. You will find it behind a hut.
To get it, you can climb the roof or go around it and use a wooden ledge to reach the platform behind the shack. Inside the chest are 131 Reales and a sapphire (130 R). Several steps away from it, is the first Animus Fragment.
Chest 4
Chest #4 in Arroyos is located close to the center of the village. After you retrieve the second fragment, move south-east and look for it between two shacks, on the pier. Inside the chest are 316 Reales.
Chest 5
The final chest is very close to the fourth. It is on the same level of the pier, under a wooden structure, and it contains 170 Reales, a pearl (70 R) and a porcelain teapot (35 R).
After you loot it, you should focus on the last fragment.

Animus Fragment 1
You can collect the first Animus Fragment in Arroyos, after you loot the third chest, if you turn around and look up.
The fragment is on top of a wooden pole. From the platform where you have found the said chest, jump on the pole and climb to its top to get the fragment.
The next collectible you should find is the second Animus Fragment.
Animus Fragment 2
Animus Fragment #2 is located west from the first fragment. It is an accessible collectable located on top of a smaller pillar made of wood.
The pillar is between two ledges. While standing on one of them, jump once towards the fragment. Next, you should find the fourth chest.
Animus Fragment 3
The last AC4 Animus Fragment in Arroyos is on the western side of the island. Again, you will have to reach the top of a wooden pole.
The fastest way to retrieve the collectible is to get to the roof of the shack nearby, and jump directly towards the collectible.
