Alice: Madness Returns was published by Electronic Arts and is the sequel to American McGee’s Alice, which was released in 2000.
While Xbox 360 and PS3 users can unlock various achievements and trophies, players who run Alice: Madness Returns on PC, can cheat the game.
The guide below explains one of the cheating methods that can be used while playing Alice: Madness Returns, in order to make Alice invulnerable and to increase the damage of her weapons.
This cheating method involves a special modified file used to replace one of the games original files.
The process doesnt require trainers or cheat codes (cheats), and the modifications applied to the game, can be removed only by restoring the original file; therefore players should create backups for the files they are about to change.
How to cheat in Alice: Madness Returns on PC
Players who wish to cheat in Alice: Madness Returns, while playing on PC, can replace one of the games files with a modified .ini file that changes the gameplay.
In other words, replacing ALICEGAME.INI file in the game, will make Alice invulnerable to all attacks (God Mode) and will make her weapons more powerful.
The modified .ini file can be downloaded from DLH.net and is compatible with all versions of the game; however, players must follow these steps:
Download the Alice: Madness Returns modified file from DLH.net.
Extract all files included in the AMR-trainer+2_all_versions_by_HarFanG.rar archive.
Find the game’s location. By default, the location is: Documents and Settings/Your Name/My Documents/My Games/Alice Madness Returns.
Open the Config directory.
Look for ALICEGAME.INI and create a backup, by copying the file somewhere else.
Replace the ALICEGAME.INI included in the game with the one from the archive.
Start the game.
If you encounter any problems, replace the modified ALICEGAME.INI file with the original one.
