Every time a new level is achieved in Age of Empires Online (AoEO) players advance in the game, and they earn Tech Points.
Tech Points can be spent to unlock new technologies distributed in a tree form, called Technology Tree.
The Technology Tree can be accessed by clicking on the palace located in the players Capital City.
The Technology Tree features three tabs: Economy, Utility and Military.
The Age of Empires Online game guide below presents all upgrades available in the Economy Tree, offering useful information on how these upgrades will affect the players civilization, how many Tech Points are required for each upgrade, and when these upgrade can be unlocked.
The Economy Technology Tree includes all upgrades required to increase the amount of resources harvested by villagers, and those required to maximize the defenses of a settlement.
The Economy Tree should be the focus point for all Age of Empires Online players who desire to apply the Booming Strategy in order to defeat their opponents.
In this case, players focus on gathering large quantities of resources, and build vast armies, upgraded to maximum.
Eventually, they will defeat their opponents, but they are vulnerable in early stages, especially if their rivals use the Rush Strategy.

Storehouse – Points Required: 1 – A resource drop site used to shorten gathering distances.
Hunting Dogs – Points Required: 2 – Increases villager gathering rate from huntable animals. +10% gathering rate; +50% damage done by villagers vs. huntables.
Picker’s Gloves – Points Required: 2 – Increases villager gathering rate from berry bushes. +20% gathering rate.
Wall – Points Required: 1 – Creates boundaries and strengthens defenses.
