Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Collectibles Locations

Up to 77 Metal Gear Rising Revengeance collectibles can be unlocked while playing the hack-and-slash video game developed by Platinum Games for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3; however, 22 of them must be earned by fans of the game.

The following Metal Gear Rising Revengeance collectibles’ guide helps players who wish to find the hidden items scattered through the game, and offers useful information regarding their exact locations, as well as hints on how to get them faster, without having to replay the game’s missions.

During the game, players are able to find four different types of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance collectibles while the fifth, includes the titles that can be earned.

These collectables, as well as their role in the game, are also revealed in the video game guide below.

To access the inventory where the items found by Raiden are being held, players must open the main menu, and the the collection screen.

When the collection screen is activated, players can observe that there are a total of 77 locked slots, divided in several categories.

Titles

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance includes 22 titles, but even if they are included in the collection menu, players who wish to unlock them must complete a series of tasks.

For example, one of these titles, called Jack the Ripper, can be unlocked by cutting Raiden’s enemies at least 1000 times using Blade Mode.

Players should not confuse the Metal Gear Rising Revengeance titles with the achievements and the trophies featured in the video game.

IDs

The Metal Gear Rising Revengeance IDs are easy to unlock because players don’t have to search for them, but during the game, these items require increased attention.

An ID can be obtained by cutting the left arm of an enemy in Blade Mode. An important aspect that should be mentioned is that not all left arms contain the data required to unlock an ID.

Only enemy officers hold the important data, but these enemies can be identified faster if players use Raiden’s alternate vision.

An officer equipped with a cyborg arm which contains data is displayed on the HUD by a blue light which blinks continuously.

As soon as all 30 Metal Gear Rising Revengeance IDs have been collected, players will earn the achievement/trophy called A Big Fan of Lefties.

Men in Boxes

The third category of collectibles included in Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is the Men in Boxes, or MIB.

The video game includes only 5 Metal Gear Rising Revengeance MIBs, but even if their number is reduced, they are extremely hard to find, because they are very well hidden.

A Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Man in Box can be found in unusual areas, and they are very easy to miss, since the soldiers are hidden in cardboard boxes.

Those who find all soldiers will also unlock a new achievement/trophy named Peekaboo.

Data Storage Devices

Another type of collectables hidden in Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is the Data Storage Devices.

Players will have to find 20 Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Data Storage Devices if they wish to unlock the Data Mining achievement/trophy and the information contained by these hard drives.

On a Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Data Storage, fans of the franchise will find sketches and concept art.

VR Missions Terminals

The final category includes the Metal Gear Rising Revengeance VR Missions, which are probably the most important collectibles in the video game. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance features 20 VR Missions, but to unlock them, players must find their terminals.

A VR Mission terminal is a green box that can be activated wile standing near it, but even if the first one is easy to locate, others can be missed.

When a terminal is unlocked, the corresponding VR mission is added to the game’s menu.

The video game, is divided in seven chapters, therefore our Metal Gear Rising Revengeance collectables’ guide was also divided in 7 parts. Our guide starts with File R-00.
