Only 12 Mafia 3 Hot Rod Magazines collectibles can be found in the video game developed by Hangar 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, while exploring New Bordeaux, and the following guide was created to help those who wish to get 100% completion at the end of the game.
Just like the Playboy Magazines, the Hot Rod Magazines in Mafia III don’t unlock any bonuses, achievements or trophies, but they should be found if you are looking to fully explore the city.
The Hot Rod Magazines are also revealed on your map by wiretapping the Junction Boxes in a district.
Along with other collectibles such as Album Covers, Communist Propaganda, Vargas Paintings, and Repent Magazines, the locations of the Mafia 3 Hot Rod Magazines appear on your map, marked by blue diamonds.
After you retrieve a magazine, you can access your collection from the game’s menu, and read various articles on the history of the automobile industry.

Delray Hollow Hot Rod Magazine Location
In Delray Hollow, you have to find one Hot Rod Magazine, so make sure you use the map above to see its location.

When you reach the location on our map, look for an auto service.
Enter the building and check the back office, to find the collectable sitting on a desk.
River Row Hot Rod Magazine Location
The second Mafia 3 Hot Rod Magazine is in River Row area, which is the second zone you must explore following the game’s missions.

As you can see on the map above, the Hot Rod collectible is located in the south-western part of River Row.
After you get to the location on the map, you will find a train yard. Jump over the front fence and look for the collectible inside the train wagon on the left side.
The magazine is on the ground, next to a brown chair.
Pointe Verdun Hot Rod Magazine Location
The third Mafia 3 Hot Rod Magazine is located in Pointe Verdun, as you can see on the third map above.

Look for this collectible inside the Best Oil service. Simply enter the service and check the back area where the cars are repaired.
You will see the collectible on a working bench near the left wall.
Barclay Mills Hot Rod Magazine Location
In Barclay Mills you will also have to find a Mafia III Hot Rod Magazine, as depicted by our map above.
Hot Rod Magazine 1
The Hot Rod Magazine is from January 1966, and it is located in the western part of Barclay Mills.
To get it, cross the river and look for it on a floating barge. The collectible is inside a rusted car.
Downtown Hot Rod Magazine Location
The fifth Hot Rod Magazine in Mafia 3 is in Downtown district as you can see on our map.

The location we have marked for you is underground. To get to this collectible, you should check the river’s pier west from the magazine’s location.
Once there look for an entrance to the underground tunnel and use a boat to reach the collectible. On the right wall of the said entrance is a Communist Propaganda Poster.
After you get inside the tunnel you should find the Downtown Hot Rod Magazine on a working bench in the loading area to your right.
Frisco Fields Hot Rod Magazine Location
The next Mafia 3 Hot Rod Magazine is in Frisco Fields district as you can see on our map.

Once you get to the location displayed above look for it on a bench.
The bench is in a used car lot close to the southern wall of a white building. It is very easy to find by moving around the building.
This Hot Rod Magazine is from December 1968.
Tickfaw Harbor Hot Rod Magazine Location
In the southern area of Tickfaw Harbor you can find another Hot Rod Magazine.

This Hot Rod Magazine is from February 1965 and it is on the roof of the building we have marked on our map.
The building is made of red bricks and has exterior stairs which you can climb to get to the roof. Look for the collectible next to the small enclosure. You should also see a red fire extinguisher near the magazine.
French Ward Hot Rod Magazine Location
The next Hot Rod Magazine revealed in our guide, can be found in French Ward district.

Using our map above, get to the location of the collectible and search for a green garage at the end of a driveway between two large mansions.
Open the door to the said garage and check the workbench on the other side to see the May 1964 issue of Hot Rod Magazine.
Southdowns Hot Rod Magazine Location
Another Hot Rod Magazine can be found in Southdowns District, also mapped above.

This Mafia III Hot Rod Magazine collectible is from March 1968, and it is inside an industrial garage. To find it, travel to the location on our map and in front of the garage you should see a green truck.
Open the doors behind the truck and check the workbench on the other side of the garage.
Bayou Fantom Hot Rod Magazine Locations
The last three Mafia 3 Hot Rod Magazines you need to find to complete your collection are in Bayou Fantom district.
Hot Rod Magazine 1
As you can see on our Bayou Fantom map above, the first one is in the eastern part of the district. You should find it on a cabinet in the back office of a closed shop.
It is the November 1968 issue.
Hot Rod Magazine 2
The second Hot Rod Magazine we have mapped is from August 1968 and can be found inside the Targo station.
Look for the billboard first to identify the building, then check the garage in the back to see the magazine on a working bench in the far-left corner.
Hot Rod Magazine 3
The final Hot Rod Magazine revealed by our guide is from September 1966 and can be found inside a campsite.
Once you arrive to the location we have marked on the map, look for a covered shelter and you should see the collectible on a picnic table.
