If you manage to finish Dog, Doctor, and Assistant, you will be able to activate another side-quest named Matchmaker and also find a key element for the Mother and Daughter side-quest.

This means that Dog, Doctor, and Assistant quest requires your attention as soon as you enter Eremite Plains, the area located north from the Wildlands Train Station.

Quest Walkthrough

The first thing you have to do is to make sure that you complete Healing an Angel and Round ‘Em Up side-quests, then you will have to travel to Eremite Plains.

East from the path that leads to Eremite Plains you will find a new settlement known as the Research Camp. Very close to the Forge in Research Camp you should see a young woman named Assistant Thirteen.

She is your quest-giver and when you talk to her you will start the side-quest named Dog, Doctor, and Assistant.

You can identify her by the large hat with yellow and white strips. For this specific quest, you have to find the following materials: Dayring Blossom (X 4), Moonsoul Bloom (X 2) and Goopy Goo (X 5).

These items will help Tilda, Thirteen’s friend, to brew an Animal Potion and heal the dog nearby.

Note: Pay close attention to the dog because you will need it for another side-quest.

The materials required for the Animal Potion are easy to find because they are everywhere. The Goopy Goo is dropped by Triffids, the large flowers that spawn in most areas. Kill five and you will get the Goopy Goo for the Animal Potion.

The second ingredient is the Moonsoul Bloom, a white flower that blooms between 6 PM and 6 AM. Make sure that during these hours you get 2 of them. They grow everywhere especially around Canopus Farms and in Eremite Plains.

The third ingredient for the Animal Potion is the Dayring Blossom, which is very similar to the Moonsoul Bloom. The only difference between them is that the Dayring Blossom can be found between 6 AM and 6 PM, since it replaces the Moonsoul Bloom.

Get 4 Dayring Blossoms and go back to Thirteen and Tilda. As you can notice, Thirteen left the Research Camp; therefore, make sure you talk to Tilda and give her the ingredients. In exchange you will receive the Animal Potion.

Note: The moment you receive the Animal Potion, Tilda will ask you a favor, and you will activate the Matchmaker side-quest. Accept it and pay attention to her story.

Now, you will have to find Thirteen, or Claudia. Look for her at Canopus Farms after 7 AM, close to Dr. Gysahl. When you talk to her you will finish Dog, Doctor, and Assistant.

Note: During the quest, the dog you have cured is the one you need to finish Mother and Daughter side-quest. At this point you should complete Mother and Daughter as well as the side-quest known as Matchmaker.
