Grand Theft Auto V Random Events Locations Guide reveals the exact locations of all events that occur in GTA 5, along with a map and hints that will allow you to complete them faster.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Random Events count if you intend to get 100% completion in GTA V; however, while there are 57 events, only 14 must be completed to achieve the 100% completion goal.

GTA 5 Random Events range from shootouts to races, and they occur in specific points. While the characters that trigger these events appear on specific locations, you will notice that you won’t be able to see them all the time.

In other words, a character that triggers a GTA V Random Event may appear only during the night, or while it’s raining.

Furthermore not all playable characters (Franklin, Trevor or Michael) can complete a random event, because some of them require certain characters.

The following list includes all Random Events in GTA 5, and provides information on the characters required to finish them, as well as a series of strategies you can use to beat them.

Grand Theft Auto V Random Events Locations Guide

ATM Robberies

Characters Required: Michael/Trevor/Franklin

The GTA 5 ATM Robberies, marked on the map by an A, are random events that can be completed by all characters. To spot such an event, pay close attention to the scream of the victim, then look for a blue dot on your map.

Exit the car, shoot the robber and take the money ($500), then decide what to do with them. You can keep them, or you can return them to the victim who will give you $50 and will refill the meter of your special ability.

Altruist Cult Shootout

Characters Required: Trevor

The Altruist Cult Shootout event is available only to Trevor and it is marked on the map below by the letter C. To start the event you have to bring 4 hostages to the Altruist Camp on Mount Chiliad.

Once you are inside the camp, the Altruists will decide to eat Trevor. After you get the machine-gun, fight your way out but pay close attention because there is a hidden package on the porch of a house to your right, as you exit the camp.

Stag Do Running Man

Characters Required: Trevor/Michael/Franklin

Stag Do Running Man is a GTA 5 random event that occurs on Route 66. Look for a man in pink underwear who has been tied up to a pole. Untie the man, then drive back to his house and wait for him to get some clothes.

Next, drive the groom’s car to the marked location on your map and pick up his best man. Now, drive the same car to the church (also pointed on your map) and watch the bride slapping the groom. As a reward for this event you will receive the Enus Super Diamond car.

Sports Bike Thief

Characters Required:  Trevor/Michael/Franklin

The GTA V Sports Bike Thief random event occurs on North Rockford Drive, and can be completed by any character.  While exploring the area you will see a thief trying to steal a yellow sports bike.

Chase him, but don’t try to shoot him.  Instead run over him and he will flee. Next, you can keep the Pegassi Bati 801 bike, or you can return it to its owner to increase your driving skill by 5.

Snatched

Characters Required:  Trevor/Michael/Franklin

Grand Theft Auto 5 Snatched is a random event that occurs on South Mo Milton Drive. You can attempt to complete it with any character but it is preferably to play as Trevor.

In the said area you will see a lady who is being kidnapped and dragged inside a van. While remaining in your car, shoot the tires, and then the enemies that appear, but don’t kill the woman.

Next, the victim will ask you to take her back home. On your way to her house you will be attacked by more enemies. Kill them and return to your car. At this point you have to make an important decision. You can help the victim and take her back to her house, or you can opt to drive to the Altruist Camp on Mount Chiliad and give her to the cannibal Altruists.

No matter what you choose, you won’t get any reward for this event.

Simeon Yetarian

Characters Required:  Michael/Franklin

Simeon Yetarian is an event you will probably complete automatically at the beginning of the game.

The event takes place on Adam’s Apple Boulevard when you crash your car in Simeon’s store. Once you complete this part of the mission you will fight Simeon’s bodyguards, and how you deal with them is up to you. You can beat the first, near the door, and shoot the second, or you can beat both of them.

Shop Robbery 1

Characters Required:  Michael/Franklin/Trevor

The first GTA V Shop Robbery takes place at the beauty shop on Eastbourne Way. It is similar to the second event, but this time the thieves will use a van to escape; therefore, make sure you kill the driver.

Once you stop the car, pick up the money and keep them, because the owner of the saloon won’t give you a reward.

Shop Robbery 2

Characters Required:  Michael/Franklin/Trevor

The GTA 5 random events include two shop robberies, the second one being on Prosperity Street Promenade. When you enter the Suburban Store on the said street you will assist a robbery, and you will end up on your knees.

After the thieves leave the store, equip one of your weapons and kill both of them quickly. Pick up the money they took ($2000) and decide what you want to do with them. You can keep them, or return them to the store to get a 25% discount on the items you purchase from this location.

Security Vans

Characters Required:  Michael/Franklin/Trevor

The V letter on the map below marks the locations of all GTA 5 security vans you can rob in the video game, or the routes they usually follow.

When robbing a security van in GTA V, you will need to stop it (if it’s moving) in order to remove the money inside. For robbing a Grand Theft Auto 5 Security Van you will usually earn between $3000 and $8000.

Since these vehicles are bulletproof, the easiest way to stop a moving security van is to shoot its tires. To pick up the money inside the van, shoot the center of the back doors, or use a sticky bomb. There are 9 Security Vans you can rob in Grand Theft Auto V, and they also count as Random Events.

Rogue Altruists

Characters Required:  Michael/Franklin

The GTA 5 Rogue Altruists event occurs in Grand Senora Desert on Baytree Canyon Road. It can be completed only by Franklin or Michael who must save a woman from the Altruists who try to kill her.

Now, get back to your car and decide what you want to do with your victim, because if you play as Trevor you can take her to the Altruist Camp.

If not, once you reach her house, the mission ends and your driving ability will be increased by 5.

Gateway Driver

Characters Required:  Michael/Franklin/Trevor

The Gateway Driver random event  takes place at the intersection of Strawberry Ave. and Forum Drive, in a parking lot. As you approach the marked spot, you will assist a robbery, and you have to make several decisions that will affect how the mission unfolds.

You can help the victim, which is not a good idea since you won’t get any rewards, or you can help the robbers and earn $1.000. If you follow this path, get into your car and wait for the robbers to get inside. Next, drive to their house but make sure you lose the cops that follow you. Alternatively if you play as Trevor, you can deliver the robbers to the Altruist Camp.
