Do you remember Batman: Return to Arkham HD Collection? The one that was delayed one month before release? Well, it seems that you might play it this year after all. But let’s see what happened to it first.

Batman: Return to Arkham which is developed by Virtuos includes the remastered version of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City along with all DLCs, better graphics, effects and more.

When the collection was originally announced, it was set to release on July 26, 2016 in North America, and July 29, 2016 in Europe, but in June, WB Games announced that it will be delayed indefinitely, or until further notice.

Here is a passage from that statement:

“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.

We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready.

We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans. “

Since then, nobody heard anything about a possible release date for Batman: Return to Arkham HD Collection, except for a report from Eurogamer.

Now, the online retailer Base.com listed the collection and the release date seems to be November 25, 2016.

The interesting fact; however, is that Amazon.com didn’t update the release date for Batman: Return to Arkham HD.

According to the second retailer, Batman: Return to Arkham HD will be released on December 29, 2016 and it will cost $ 49.99.

Because there is no official confirmation, the release date listed by Base.com can be considered a rumor and you should take it with a grain of salt.

One thing is for sure though. Batman: Return to Arkham HD is in development, and will be released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Until then, here are some screenshots to sweeten the wait.
