Chest 1

The first chest in Salt Lagoon is in the southern area. Look for it on the island’s cliff, close to a palm tree. Inside the chest you will find 171 R and a cross made of silver (90 R).

Chest 2

From the previous chest, sprint north towards the central area of the island. The second chest is under the two large rocks that form an archway. Loot it to get 296 R and a sleep dart.

Chest 3

Once you loot the second chest, move to the west and look for the rowboat. Next to the rowboat is the third chest which contains 127 R and several emerald earrings (180 R).

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Salt Lagoon Animus Fragments Locations

Animus Fragment 1

Close to the third chest, but to the north is the first Animus Fragment is Salt Lagoon. Look for it while standing in front of the chest, to your right. Near the fragment is a tree you can climb. Get to the highest branch and perform a Leap of Faith in the haystack below.

Animus Fragment 2

The second Animus Fragment in Salt Lagoon is on the south-eastern beach. Head to its location and nearby you will see the trunk of a tree that was downed. Use the said trunk as a ramp and get on the left branch. Turn around to face the collectible and perform another Leap of Faith to collect it.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Salt Lagoon Secrets Locations

The final AC4 collectible in Salt Lagoon is a treasure map. You will find the cadaver carrying the treasure map on the north-eastern beach. The corpse is between a rock and a palm tree.

Get the treasure map and you will be able to reveal the location of another buried chest. When you open the treasure map in Salt Lagoon you will see a windmill and the following coordinates: 442,118.

The coordinates lead to another location, known as New Bone, where you will find the windmill; however, you should be aware that New Bone is a restricted area and it is well protected by frigates.

Assuming that you already upgraded your ship, travel to New Bone, and you will find the windmill north-east from the viewpoint, on the cliff. While standing behind the windmill, look for a rocky area and a small palm tree. Dig in the marked location and you will reveal the buried secret chest containing 4000 R.

The video below is a walkthrough showing how to collect all items in Salt Lagoon and where to find the buried chest revealed by the treasure map you find Salt Lagoon.
