Punta Guarico is a level 16 Naval Fort, and a medium area featured in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Located on the eastern side of the main map, Punta Guarico is also the objective of the mission named The Forts, and a location that must be controlled by Edward in order get 100 % synchronization.

Since Punta Guarico is a medium difficulty location, the fort can be attacked early in the game, allowing you to reveal the surrounding area of the same name.

Within the fort you will find 2 Assassin’s Creed IV collectibles, revealed by the map above; however, the moment you capture the fort you can also find are retrieve 4 uncharted collectibles, included in the video walkthrough below.

Furthermore, in Punta Guarico you can unlock a new Naval Contract, named Contract 13: Weathering The Storm.

Weathering The Storm is an accessible contract that can be completed early in the game, and it doesn’t require too many upgrades for your ship. Your goal is to find and sink 5 British ships, all of them patrolling around the fort.

After you complete the contract, make sure you don’t leave the fort without the collectibles included in the following guide.

Animus Fragment 1

The first Animus Fragment marked on the map is collected the moment you take down all defenses, while trying to reach the courtyard.

You will eventually have to climb the fort’s walls and you will pick it up on your way to the officers you have to kill.

Animus Fragment 2

The second Animus Fragment can be retrieve after you capture the fort. While standing in front of the War Room, look around and you should see a cart near a small wall. Climb the wall and look down to spot the collectible, on a wooden ledge.

Drop on the ledge to retrieve the fragment, and then focus on collecting the first chest.

Chest 1

Once you get the second fragment, assuming you are still on the wooden ledge, jump to the lower level and look for a damaged roof, similar to a ramp, in the courtyard below. Under the roof is the first chest and inside you will find 135 Reales and a sapphire (130 R).

Chest 2

While standing in the courtyard where you have found the first chest, facing the collectible, turn left and you will see a large wall with a black piece of cloth on it.

Follow the stairs around the and go up to reach another courtyard and in the central area, close to another small wall you will find the second chest.

After you loot it, return to your ship and find the uncharted collectibles in Punta Guarico, using the following video walkthrough.
