Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag New Bone is one of the islands you have to visit if you wish to complete all Assassin Contracts and all Mayan Stelae puzzles in AC4.

New Bone is an island controlled by your enemies, located south-east from the Serranilla Naval Fort.

Being an enemy territory, it is very well protected; therefore, you might want to postpone your visit to New Bone, unless you upgraded Jackdaw to take out the frigates near the harbor.

Along with the side-activities you can complete in New Bone, you can also find a buried chest containing 4000 Reales, its location being revealed by the treasure map you find in Salt Lagoon.

Furthermore, there are 8 additional collectibles you can retrieve and a warehouse you can plunder. The island is inhabited by multiple enemy troops guarding the slaves, and it is a good idea to assassinate all of them before starting to collect the Animus Fragments and the chests in the area, as they are revealed by the guide below.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag New Bone Animus Fragments Locations

Animus Fragment 1

The first Animus Fragment in New Bone is on top of the windmill which is also the viewpoint you have to synchronize. Climb the windmill’s walls and when you reach the top, jump on one of the moving sails and then perform a Leap of Faith towards the collectible.

Animus Fragment 2

For the second Animus Fragment another Leap of Faith is required, but this time the landing point is the ocean. Sprint to the location of the second fragment (north side of the island) and look for a downed tree, hanging above the water. Jump on it, and then jump again in the water below to collect the fragment.

Animus Fragment 3

The final Animus Fragment in New Bone is on top of the British flag located close to the manor in the south. Next to the flag is a large tree that must be climbed. From the highest branch, jump on the flag to get the collectable.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag New Bone Chests Locations

Chest 1

After you get the third fragment, go around the same manor and look for the first chest, near the mansion’s walls, on the ground. Inside you will find 153 R and a gold chain (130 R).

Chest 2

The second chest is next to a cannon facing the harbor in the northern side of the island. Loot it for a ruby (100 R) and a pewter vase (30 R).

Chest 3

The third chest is close to the previous one, and to another cannon, on the same cliff. It contains 272 R and a sleep dart.

Chest 4

Once you loot the third chest, head towards the warehouse and look for the hiding spot. Next to it is another chest and inside you will find a smoke bomb and 267 R.

Chest 5

The final chest in New Bone is on the small island where the rowboat can be seen. Perform a Leap of Faith using the same tree you have used to get the second Animus Fragment and swim to the said patch of sand. The chest is behind the large rocks and if you loot it you will get 189 R and an Emerald (100 R).

The video walkthrough below shows how to find and collect all Animus Fragments and Chests available on New Bone Island.
